Renue UK have carried out a Wood Floor Restoration project at Three Bridges School.

The Main Hall Wooden Floor at Three Bridges School in Southall had been subject to several floods and although several attempts had been made to refurbish this floor ultimately it needed to be replaced.

Renue-UK were awarded the contract to replace the existing floor with the new solid European Oak Wood Block Floor. As the existing floor had been laid in the 50’s and on bitumens pitch the sub floor had to be removed.

Once it had been removed we needed to apply a new screed and incorporate a new damp proof membrane. The floor was then levelled and an additional Liquid DPM applied. The floor as then laid and a more contemporary style to the original pattern.

In addition to the Main Floor we also had to replace the large stepped areas which involved having the treads specially made by a local supplier.

Once finished the floor was sealed with four coats of GranSeal Heavy Duty.
